Here Is Your Temple: Debut EP

Swedish outfit Here is your Temple’s debut EP is interesting. Opening track - and first single – So High is a metronomic, bass heavy march, underpinning the synths and Emily McWilliams slightly disembodied voice.

  • Fall Out Boy: Save RockAnd Roll

Fall Out Boy: Save RockAnd Roll

It’s important not to take the title too seriously. Fall Out Boy know as well as anyone that rock’n’roll is an amorphous and constantly evolving definition just like “pop music”.

“SO much feeling went into this record, it was the rope ladder thrown down into the ditch for us to climb up and dust ourselves off. I hope others can climb up it too; we’re excited to share the good vibes.”

Parklife 2012 Lineup: Official Announcement!

on Thursday, 05 July 2012. Posted in Music News

Well, well, it’s that time of year again children, the time where you find out who will be playing your favourite spring festival. Parklife! In its epic 2012 instalment, the crew over at Fuzzy are leaving no stone unturned as they drop their splendid array of artists.

After the extremely successful 2011 leg of the festival, there was a slight hesitation as to whether it could be outdone, and by the looks of things they truly are off to a great start. With tickets going on sale in the next few weeks, for the somewhat cheap price, Parklife will be the best possible start to the spring/summer festival season.

Aside from the changes in lineup styles, Fuzzy have also changed the location of the Sydney leg, which has been moved back to where it first began in 2000, with the Parklife crew releasing this brief statement about it:

“Our new Sydney home encompasses Loch Ave South and Brazilian Fields in the heart of beautiful Centennial Park. It’s close to where the first four Parklife’s were held from 2000-2003 and has beautiful rolling slopes dotted with Moreton Bay figs and a variety of other trees. We’re just a little bit excited (OK, completely delirious!) about moving Parklife there this year.”

Without further ado, I give you the rather delightful Parklife 2012 lineup!
