Here Is Your Temple: Debut EP

Swedish outfit Here is your Temple’s debut EP is interesting. Opening track - and first single – So High is a metronomic, bass heavy march, underpinning the synths and Emily McWilliams slightly disembodied voice.

It’s important not to take the title too seriously. Fall Out Boy know as well as anyone that rock’n’roll is an amorphous and constantly evolving definition just like “pop music”.

“SO much feeling went into this record, it was the rope ladder thrown down into the ditch for us to climb up and dust ourselves off. I hope others can climb up it too; we’re excited to share the good vibes.”

Karmin: Broken hearted

The newest track from American pop duo Karmin leaked this weekend.

Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan are not only engaged to one another romantically, but professionally as well. After meeting at Berklee in 2010, the two have been inseparable; always writing and recording songs together.

The group gained popularity after their first song “Take It Away” was used in promos for the 2011 NBA Finals. Now, they’re set to perform on SNL February 12. The episode will be hosted by quirky actress Zooey Deschanel.

According to their Twitter page, they will be singing this new track, “Broken Hearted”, and another one yet to be decided.
